Access to care has never been easier

Walk In was founded by a B.C.-raised and trained doctor who understands our population and healthcare system. We’ve developed our team in a manner that reflects the diversity of our beautiful province and its unique needs.

Medical Doctors

Dr. Andy Minhas

Founder and Physician
he / him

Andy grew up in the Lower Mainland and considers B.C. his home. After finishing his residency with UBC and serving as the Chief Resident for his site, he worked in longitudinal Primary Care and Hospitalist Medicine. He continues to work with marginalized and minority populations on a day-to-day basis. He founded Walk In after recognizing the need for timely care delivery in B.C. He aims to connect people to a modernized virtual care platform that functions according to their needs. In his spare time, Andy can be found waiting in line for Blueberry Balsamic ice cream from Rain or Shine (no offence to Earnest).

Dr. Rocky Patnana

Physician
he / him

Dr. Patnana completed his medical training in the Ukraine, and then briefly returned back home to India where he practiced for 2 years before moving to the US for residency training. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma in 2017 and has been practicing since. He has worked in a wide variety of practice settings and is fluent in 4 languages, including English, Hindi, Telugu, and Russian! He joined Walk In to help improve access to primary care services in our community. In his free time, he loves traveling with his wife and has been to over 30 countries.

Dr. Jessica Fenn

Physician
she / her

Dr. Jessica Fenn is a full service Family Physician working out of Vancouver, BC. She has experience with rural medicine and currently also works as a maternity provider, delivering babies across the Lower Mainland. She enjoys the full range of family practice – every question and visit is welcome! Dr. Fenn is also a clinical instructor with the University of British Columbia, teaching Family Medicine residents and medical students at her practice in Vancouver. Dr. Fenn has two small children and can often be found at a playground or nature walk on weekends. She also has a passion for fine art – mainly acrylic and watercolour painting.

Dr. Jeremy Mak

Physician
he / him

Dr. Mak completed his medical degree at UBC. Afterwards, he went out east for his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto. Once finished, he moved back to Greater Vancouver to serve the city and be by the ocean and the mountains. He’s also an avid fan of the Vancouver Canucks, so maybe that’s the real reason he had to get out of Toronto – to get away from the Leafs fans.

Dr. Amyna Fidai

Physician
she / her

Amyna went to medical school at the University of Calgary and did her Family Medicine residency with UBC, where she served as Chief Resident for her site. Her areas of interest include working with vulnerable populations such as immigrants and refugees, as well as quality improvement in healthcare. She works part-time in the hospital and part-time in outpatient settings. She enjoys providing care to diverse populations and to all ages. She’s fluent in multiple languages, including English, Urdu, and Hindi; she understands Gujrati, Kutchi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Premveer Gill

Physician
he / him

Premveer grew up in the Lower Mainland prior to pursuing his medical education in Galway, Ireland. Following this, he returned back home to undertake a Family Medicine Residency at UBC, which he completed in 2022. He now works as a community family physician and enjoys providing care to a diverse patient cohort. In his free time, Premveer loves to travel and is perhaps too invested in his favourite sports team – the Toronto Raptors.

Dr. Joy Qiao

Physician
she / her

Dr. Joy Qiao attended medical school at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She completed Family Medicine residency in Calgary, where she subsequently practiced as a Family Physician for 2 years before moving back to Vancouver to be reunited with her family, friends, and sushi. In her spare time, Dr. Joy enjoys travelling around the world, trying new restaurants, and going on long walks with her husband and puppy.

Dr. Quinn Harris
